About Us

AM1’s capability incorporates Projects of varying scales and complexities, spanning the southern rail network.

The collective experiences of AM1, gained within the rail industry over many years, provides the client with a superior level of knowledge within the field of DC Electrification, ETE and ETM works and it is the mission of AM1 Projects to excel amongst other organisations in the rail industry and delivering a professional service to all its clients.

Trading out of Medway since its inception in 2011, a commitment to undertaking larger scale projects has seen the operation of the business change dramatically, going from a team of 5 to 40. In turn, working practices had to develop and suitable office and warehouse facilities had to be sought to house the growing team as the existing offices were literally ‘bursting at the seams’! When suitable, Medway based alternative commercial premises couldn’t be found, the only thing to be done was to build our own building. This involved the purchase of an existing property, demolition and new build development. This was solely managed by the core AM1 management team and was achieved within a year and on budget.

The additional work space has seen several recent additions to the AM1 team, most notably, the Design department. The Company has also equipped itself with an in-house Plant & Fleet maintenance facility allowing a smoother day to day operation, reducing down time and the associated administration.
